HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007!!!

Wow what a year this has been. So many thing have changed. Most of them good!

After yrs of trying to get pregnant, on February 7th I found out we were expecting our first child on October 14th! What a rush that news was. Adam and I could hardly believe that it finally happened. The pregnancy was pretty easy.

In June Adam and I flew home to Cali. My family and friends threw me a baby shower. My sister and sister in law did a great job. I was so glad to get to home and share part of my pregnancy with them.

July was a pretty big month for us. Right after the 4th we were told by our landlords that they wanted to sell the house. Mind you I was 6 months pregnant. So we decided to move. We found a cute apt down in Florence Ky just across the river. In the process of us packing, Adam had to do the 2 week annual training with the reservists. He had to go to Indiana for that. While he was gone, the A/C crapped out, and it had to be like 90 degrees with a 100% humidity. Thank goodness for my Friend Danielle. She lent me a window unit, so we could at least sleep. Needless to say, I did not get a whole lot of packing done while Adam was gone. TOO DAMN HOT!!!!

We moved to the apt the last weekend of July. We had a ton of help from the guys that Adam work with. The loading of the truck took them all of 1 1/2 hrs. I could not believe how fast it was. We did not have to pay for the moving truck, thanks to a good Samaritan, that just wanted to support the military. That was totally awesome. Off loading the truck prolly took bout 2 hrs. We decided to take the guys that helped out to lunch at this yummy little mexican restaurant. 9 of us ate for $65.

The first weekend of August, my friends Danielle and Kasi threw me another baby shower. It was alot of fun. they decided to make it Coed. That was interesting and fun. Other then the baby shower nothing else was going on.

September one of my really good friends Chanda came out from Cali to visit. Her mom came a couple days later to visit. It was nice having them here.

October my mom got here. She was coming out to be here for the birth of the baby. She got here on the 8th. On the 10th I had a check up, for the pregnancy. They told me the baby was big and we should schedule a C-section. So we had it scheduled for Oct 12th. Aiden was born October 12, 2006 at 8:32am. He weighed a hefty 8lbs 15 oz and was 20 3/4 in long. My sister was flying in that day. So My mom and Danielle went to the airport to pick her up. I was so glad she made it to see the baby. Adam's family came up and stayed a couple of days, so they could see their new grandson. My mom stayed till Oct 28th. I was so glad she was here.

November was pretty eventful for us. We finally got orders to where we are going to next. It's not where we wanted to go. We are being sent to Camp Lejeune, NC. I lived in NC as a kid, so it is a little exciting to be going back. Danielle and her family moved there right before Thanksgiving, and we have friends there also, so that is nice. It is going to be nice to be back on a military base. I miss all the military stuff. My dad came out for Thanksgiving and did all the cooking. It was so yummy. Scott and Kasi came over for dinner. My dad was here for my b-day. We went out to dinner and shopping on my b-day.

For Christmas we went to visit Adam's family in Ga. Most of his family had not met Aiden yet. He was the hit of the holidays. We had a nice time down there. It is always nice to be around family for the holidays. Aiden traveled well. We drove down there. Took a little longer then usual, but hey it is worth it to have this little boy. Scott and Kasi came over for the New Years eve. It was laid back. We grilled burgers and brauts. We watched the ball drop in Times Square, and then off to bed we went.

I wish everyone a HAPPY and wonderful New Year. I am not sure what to expect within the coming year, but hopefully it is all good. I will be going home for a little bit. My baby sister is getting married in May, and one of my bestest friends is getting married in October, so I will be home for those.

Happy New Year!!

Big smile!!

Aiden is will be 7 weeks tomorrow. I can't believe how fast the time goes. He is getting so big. His hands are huge!! He is growing out of all his 0-3 month clothes, and getting in to his bigger sizes. He is starting to smile all the time. Before he would only smile when he had gas.....lol. Now he does it when he sees or hears his mommy or daddy, and it just melts my heart. I love it!!! Isn't he so adorable.

Adam was finally told where he was going next. We were hoping a praying for California, and they decided to be butt heads and send us to North Carolina. I am not happy bout it. I wanna go home. He is doing what he can do now to get the orders changed, so we can get back to So Cal. So keep your fingers crossed for us that we get back there. Everyone out there is so excited about meeting Aiden, and I can't wait for them too either. So anyways, I had a great Thanksgiving. My dad came out here and cooked. He is the best cook in the world....lol. He was here for a week. He just left yesterday. That's all from here. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

My Lobster

We took Aiden out for his first Halloween. We dressed him up as a lobster. He was dang cute. Adam carried him door to door, while he slept the whole time. Haha. People wanted to give him candy, so Adam had to tell people that e is only 19 days old. Some people insisted on giving him candy. So you know mama and daddy got the candy....lol. We went with our friends. They have a 2 yr old. They dressed him up as cow. He was so cute. Well that's all from here. Here is a cute picture of my lobster.

Isn't he cute?

We took Aiden to get his newborn pictures yesterday. It was an experience. He was really good though. Even though he was being poked and prodded by the photographer. We had a hard time waking him up, to get pics with his eyes open., but it was all worth it. He takes really good pictures (unlike his mommy...lol). I am having a difficult time adjusting to my new life, but every bit of it is worth it. I love my new little man. He is so gosh darn cute. So that's about it from here. I just wanted to share how cute my monkey is. Monkey is my nickname for him....lol.

He's Here!!!

Aiden arrived Thursday Oct 12th at 8:32am. He weighed a hefty 8lbs 15oz, and was 20 3/4 in long. I had to have a c-section cuz they thought he was going to be huge. Everything went smoothly. No complications. I was only in the hospital for 2 days. I was anxious to get home and get started with my new family. Since we have been home things are good. Just getting used to the new life. My mom and my sister are here. They sure are a big help. I am still recovering. I don't have a whole lot of pain, it is pretty manageable. I go tomorrow to the OB to get my staples removed. That should be fun. NOT.....lol. Aiden has his first pediatrician appt on Wed. I am sure everything will be just fine. All he does is eat and sleep. Isn't he just so darn adorable?! I think so. I am not partial at all.....lol. Well that's all from here. Hope ya'll have a good week!! Oh yeah go check out Aiden's blog that his daddy made for him. It's cute.

Less then 36 hrs to go

Aiden will be here on Thursday. I had another ultrasound today and Aiden is measuring around 9lbs 6oz. So he is pretty big. So we went ahead a scheduled a c-section for Thursday morning. I am a little nervous that I am going to be a mommy in a lil bit. Kinda scary eh! So keep us in your thoughts and prayers that everything will go smooth. Have a good couple of days. Be outta the loop for a lil bit!

4 days to go

Well my due date is Saturday. Who knows if this baby will be here by then. Prolly not. I have a doc appt today. I am having what they call a biophysical profile test. It is an ultrasound to check muscle tone, breathing, and hopefully how big he is. Then I have to a non-stress test, just to check the baby's resting heart rate and active heart rate. We did this last week cuz my fluid levels were high. After the test they said the amniotic levels were down, but I have to do this every week till Aiden decides to it is time to make his big appearance. My mom got here on Sunday to be here for the arrival of Aiden. My friend Amy sent gifts for Aiden with my mom. I got a Chargers jersey and a Padres jersey. I have a pic of the Chargers jersey. That's all that's going on here.

37 weeks and 3 to go...maybe

On Sept 12th I had a regular appt just to check to see how the baby was progressing and an ultrasound to see how big he was. Well he is big. I was @ 35 weeks then and he was over 7 lbs and breech. So the doc and I discussed some options. I got home and talked to my hubby about things. We decided to go ahead and have a C-section for the safety of the baby and me. The doc does not think I will make it to my due date of Oct 14th. At this point I don't care, I am ready for this baby to be here.....lol. I had another appt last Tuesday. The baby has turned, so he is no longer breech, but he is still big. The doc gave me no indication that she would induce. It still sounds like I might have a c-section. Which I am still very nervous about. Well, what can ya do right. I would rather have the c-section than push and push for hrs, just to have an emergency c-section. Ya know what I mean. So that's what's going on here. I have another appt on Friday. Hopefully we will have a clearer picture then as to what is going to happen. Hope everyone has a good weekend!
